This is a busy month for the Holcomb family. This week Joe and I will celebrate 4 years of marriage and 6 years together. I am so blessed to have been given this man. He does adore me and our children. I will gladly accept the title of newlyweds and I hope and pray that our attitude towards our marriage never change. Later this week Natalie has her first set of appliances placed to begin the ever draining and painful process of braces. I am sure that I will soon lose the "best mom" award when her mouth hurts so bad that she can't chew. Oh... the memories of Taco Bell soft tacos. Also this weekend Lilly has her 2nd birthday party. (look for pictures soon after) She has grown so much. Her vocabulary is growing more and more everyday. Potty training is beginning but not going smoothly; apparently she doesn't mind being wet or dirty for that matter. Playing and tormenting Caitlin is too much fun to even bother with the potty!
As my New Year resolution I have decided to get into better shape. As a Christmas present Joe got me a membership to the gym and an ipod shuffle. I kicked it off last week and was so proud that I was actually able to run 2 miles, before I about fell off the treadmill! My face was beet red! I was even more excited that I wasn't sore the next day. I go back for another 2 miles on Tuesday, maybe 3 we'll see.
Sarah and I have been talking almost daily about the NYC trip. I am so excited. I only wish that I was able to make it a longer trip 3 days is just not enough. There are so many things to do and see. I have already began saving and I am focused to make this trip work.
